  • 1 cup(milk cup) of fonio
  • 3 medium carrots
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 small bunch of spring onions
  • 1 onions
  • 1/2 cup of runner beans
  • 1/2 cup of peas
  • Curry, ginger, seasoning salt
  • Chicken/sausage/shrimps
  • 1 egg(optional)

  • Rich in iron for women:
    Packed with important amino acids,folic acids as well as iron. As a result it plays an important role in metabolism. It is good in avoiding anemia which is common among women as a result of their monthly flow. It is also very good for pregnant and lactating women.

  • Method:

    1. Put a little oil and butter in a pot
    2. Pour in the vegetables/chicken/sausage/ etc and stir fry
    3. Grate in a little ginger /add curry/seasoning/salt/egg
    4. In a separate pot, pour in a little oil/butter, diced onions and the fonio
    5. Stir fry the fonio on low heat for about
    6. 5 - 10 mins (you can add very little water if you so desire)
    7. Toss in the vegetables and mix the fonio properly
    8. Taste for seasoning and serve hot
